This site contains many of the original paintings and image compositions created by Alexander Manteiv, painter of Celestial themes. My efforts to produce a web site and catalog that truly represents my art in real life seem inadequate. The web site cannot convey the colors, size and appeal of my paintings when they are hanging in your home or office. If you have ever wondered about the nature of the universe from a non-technical perspective then my art will inspire you. Having spent many years looking at the universe through some of the best telescopes, I picked up a sense of motion and expression of the heavens that is enjoyed by all. It has been said that my art is both provoking , pleasing and generates philosophical inquiry. Imagine the large galaxies & images I can paint to cover a large wall for an office or museum. Commissions average 160.00 per sqft for oil paintings and 180.00 for watercolor. Large oil paintings 16 sqft and up are 175.00 sqft. For framing add 20%.
